Our Mission is to create a world of Kids in Cyber

Our Why

Kids in Cyber was created to help children grow into confident, capable, and thoughtful digital citizens.

We started Kids in Cyber after recognising a growing gap between the digital world children are living in and the support schools and families have to help them navigate it. Technology is now part of everyday life from a very young age, yet meaningful, age-appropriate digital literacy education has struggled to keep pace.

Our aim is to support schools by providing clear, practical resources that help children understand technology, make informed choices online, and build healthy digital habits over time.

We believe digital literacy should not be taught as a one-off lesson or awareness campaign. It should grow with children, year by year, alongside their understanding of the world around them.

That’s why Kids in Cyber uses a story-led, vicarious learning approach. Through relatable characters and real-world scenarios, children are encouraged to observe, discuss, and reflect on digital situations in a safe and supportive way. This allows them to build understanding and confidence without fear or judgement.

Our mission is simple:

To empower children with the skills, awareness, and agency they need to navigate the digital world safely, responsibly, and with confidence, while supporting teachers with resources that are practical, flexible, and ready to use.

As Kids in Cyber grows, so will our curriculum, partnerships, and reach. We are committed to making digital literacy accessible, inclusive, and relevant for children wherever they are growing up online.
